Protection Against Violence

In Germany, everybody – parents and spouses too – is forbidden to harm other people in any psychological or physical way. It is also strictly forbidden to sexually harass or abuse anyone. Every human has the right to be protected against voilence of any kind. If you or another person are getting attact you have to get help at some of the places presented on this page!

Help and emergency call for sexual violence

It doesn’t matter if you got sexually abused, harassedd or raped by a stranger, an acquaintence or a family member.

Here you can speak openly. You don’t have to tell us your name. All conversations are confidential. That means we won’t give the information to anyone! If you want to, you can get accompanied to doctors ot the police.

She can tell you what rights you have, how the police can help you and how the procedure works. She can also give you tipps, and adresses of advice centers (Beratungsstellen). If you want to, she can get you in contact with the police department.

Violence in Families - domestic violence

It is completely normal to fight sometime in a family or a relationship. But also at home, violence is strictly forbidden!

In a women’s shelter, you and your children will get a place to live. If you are afraid, you will get protection here.

Help Hotline (Hilfetelfeon) - Violence against women

You as a women can only decide yourself when you want to get help.
No matter what happened to you, at the help hotline you can talk about your problems. Whether violence in marriage and partnership, sexual assault and rape, stalking, harassment or threats (for example at work), human trafficking and violence in the context of prostitution or genital mutilation, violence in the name of “honor,” forced marriage, mobbing, digital violence – call to get help.

You can call the help hotline and don’t have to say your name. Everything is confidetial, your information won’t be givin to anybody else.

There is help in 17 different languages.
