Trips
Here are some suggestions for great trips with friends or family. You can discover nature and animals casually on foot or even from up in the trees. Workshops or guided tours can be booked with some providers.

- www.erlebe-bruder-wald.de The Bruderwald begins just behind Bamberg (e.g. bus stop “Am Bruderwald). There you can follow the information boards with exciting information and creative tasks about the forest.
- www.kletterwald-veilbronn.de The Veilbronn Rope Climbing Forest is about half an hour’s drive from Bamberg. Children and adults can climb here in the trees with safety harnesses and guidance.
- www.baumwipfelpfadsteigerwald.de The Baumwipfelpfad, a walking trail above the forest, is located near Ebrach, about 45 minutes by car from Bamberg. Here you can look at the trees from above and learn a lot about the forest and forestry.
- www.schweinfurt.de/leben-freizeit/wildpark In the Schweinfurt Wildlife Park you can admire 43 different animal species. Schweinfurt is about 45 minutes by car from Bamberg.
- www.wildpark-hundshaupten.de You can get to the Hundshaupten Wildlife Park in 45 minutes by car from Bamberg or by train to Forchheim.
Environmental Education
Do you or your children want to learn more about our nature and its processes? Learning how important bees are to us or how the water cycle works? Do you want to learn all about bugs and plants and how to find and recognize them in nature? Here you will find some offers on the subject of environmental education and nature conservation. Workshops or guided tours can be booked with some providers, or you can simply go on a discovery tour yourself.

- www.heinershof.de On the Hainershof farm, 20 minutes by car from Bamberg, you can book workshops on the farm.
- www.umweltstation-liasgrube.de The environmental station Liasgrube is located 20 minutes by car from Bamberg or by train to Eggolsheim station. There are family trips, children’s birthday parties and much more on the theme of nature and the environment.
- www.fuchsenwiese.lbv.de/umweltstation-fuchsenwiese At the environmental station Fuchsenwiese you will find children’s activities, nature walks for adults, help with biotope care. It is located in Bamberg, near Bruderwald.
- www.bienen-leben-in-bamberg.de/bienen-infowabe Here you can find all the info about bees. The honeycomb is located in Bamberg’s Erba Park. Every other Sunday is open, there are also workshops.
Fixed groups
These fixed groups for children meet regularly and do something in nature, deal with different topics, learn and play together. Contact an organization and ask if there is a spot available for your child.
