The contract contains the most important terms and conditions of an employment relationship:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Working time &#8211; fulltime up to 40 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Vacation &#8211; at least 20 days per year<\/li>\n<li>Earn &#8211; minimum wage is 9,35\u20ac per hour at the moment<\/li>\n<li>notice periods &#8211; the notice period is at least 4 weeks to the middle or the end of the month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both parties must stick to the agreements. Don&#8217;t sign the contract until you have read and understood the whole thing. Ask for help if you don&#8217;t understand something. You can be exempted from compulsory pension insurance because you acquire only very small entitlements to a later old-age pension. You must arrange your own health insurance; seek advice from a health insurance company.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bcd8017 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"bcd8017\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Minimum wage<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7bec399 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7bec399\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-pm-slice=\"1 3 []\">There is a legal minimum wage in Germany. <strong>The current minimum wage is 9,82 \u20ac per hour (01.02.2022).<\/strong> This amount is raised regularly. The statutory minimum wage will increase to 10.45 euros from 01.07.2022 and to 12 euros from 01.10.2022.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum wage may not be undercut by the fact that you have to work longer than contractually agreed, but still do not receive more money than is stated in the contract.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum wage does not apply to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Juveniles under the age of 18 without a completed apprenticeship<\/li>\n<li>trainees<\/li>\n<li>Long-term unemployed during the first six months of their employment after the end of unemployment<\/li>\n<li>Interns in certain types of internships (school or study-related internships or internships for professional orientation of up to three months)<\/li>\n<li>volunteer activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dc93c41 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"dc93c41\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Payroll<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-af89d98 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"af89d98\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-pm-slice=\"1 3 []\">If you have a job, you will get a payroll after every month. On this payroll there are many important information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name and adresse of the company<\/li>\n<li>Your name, adresse, date of birth<\/li>\n<li>Insurance number of the company<\/li>\n<li>Date of your first day of work<\/li>\n<li>Your tax class and tax identification number<\/li>\n<li>For what time is the payroll?<\/li>\n<li>Gross wage (wage without deductions Gehalt ohne Abz\u00fcge \u2013 Gross tax amount and gross social security amount)<\/li>\n<li>Type and amount of bonuses or allowances, e.g. Sunday bonus, night bonus, Christmas bonus<\/li>\n<li>Type and amount of the deductions, e.g. insurance and taxes<\/li>\n<li>Net wage &#8211; the money that will be transfered to your bank account!<br \/>Exception: In the case of advances, loans by the company or salary garnishments (if you have debts), further amounts are deducted from the net amount.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ea66586 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ea66586\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">taxes and social security contributions<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a27261c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a27261c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Every employee in germany pays a part of their wage for taxes an social security contributions. Even if you are self employed, you have to pay taxes.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">When you start working you have to state you tax class. It is important that you state the right tax class, if you don&#8217;t you may have to pay more taxes!<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">There are these tax classes:<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">tax class 1 &#8211; single, without a child<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">tax class 2 &#8211; single, with child<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">tax class 3 &#8211; married, applies if only one partner works, or for the person that earns much more of the both<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">tax class 4 &#8211; married, both earn aproximately the same amount<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Tax class 5 &#8211; married, both work, applies to the person the earnes less<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">tax class 6 &#8211; if you have more than one job<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cee7e9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4cee7e9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">income tax<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-472a52d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"472a52d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-pm-slice=\"1 3 []\">Income tax is money that Germany, Bavaria and the city or municipality use to pay their expenses. With this money the city pays for e.g. streets, schools or social benefits.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You work for a company? Then you will get paid the net wage. The company already deducted the taxes and transferres it to the department.<\/li>\n<li>Are you self-employed? Then you have to pay tax on your income yourseld!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3f6ff5a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3f6ff5a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Tax identification number<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c666fcc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c666fcc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">When you start working for the first time, you will get a tax identification number (Steuerliche Identifikationsnummer) This Tax ID has 11 digits. It will be valid for your whole life. In germany children receive a letter with their tax ID after they are born. You&#8217;ll need this number when you apply for child support.<\/p>\n<p>If you work in germany, you&#8217;ll need the numberg again when you start working at a new company.
